Machine Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain, and operate machinery, including software-controlled equipment. You’ll ensure the efficient running of production by monitoring operations, adjusting as needed, and leveraging software interfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with software systems, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality output. Key Responsibilities

  • Set up machinery for operation according to production guidelines, including software setup and calibration.

  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot software-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Monitor machine operations through software interfaces to detect any issues and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Adjust machine settings through software controls to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications.

  • Ensure all safety guidelines and company standards are followed rigorously, including software-related safety protocols.

  • Keep detailed records of production output and software configurations.

  • Monitor, track and request material based on usage forecast.

  • Clean and maintain machinery to ensure its optimal functioning, including software maintenance updates.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets, including process improvements.

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and maintain a cooperative working relationship with coworkers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment, with proficiency in operating software-controlled machinery.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals, including software interface guides.

  • Familiarity with various types of machinery and tools, particularly those with integrated software systems.

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, including software diagnostics.

  • Attention to detail and precision in work, particularly in software settings and adjustments.

  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical or softwarerelated fields is a plus.

  • Commitment to safety guidelines and practices, including software-related safety protocols.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
