We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring open purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate procurement records. This role requires strong communication skills to interact with vendors and collaborate with internal teams. The Procurement Associate will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
Oversee and monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
Communicate with vendors to confirm order statuses, delivery dates, and resolve any issues.
Maintain and update the purchase order log, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
Work closely with the supply chain and finance teams to streamline procurement processes.
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned based on organizational needs and project requirements.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and keep accurate records.
Communication Skills: Proficiency in written and verbal communication to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email systems, and possibly specialized software relevant to the industry.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in managing data, scheduling, and handling correspondence.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Time Management: Efficient in managing one’s own time and the time of others, often juggling several tasks at once.
